This workshop will utilise the Merimbula Airport, where aircraft will be loaded and a property at Lochiel, where the aircraft will be exercising.
Aircraft that the firefighters will be working with will include 2 helicopters and 2 fixed wing bombers. The aircraft will be using water and some retardant to demonstrate to the firefighters ways to achieve maximum accuracy and efficiency.
The NSW RFS expects there to be some aircraft activity in the area of Lochiel for approximately 3 hours from 1pm on the 10th of April, 2021.
